Big Names, Tiny Prices...

For the past few years a wave of democratization has been sweeping its way through the world of fashion... or at least the world of retail.

In the fashion industry's attempt to be appealing (or at least available) to the masses, established designers have been doing collaborations and exclusive collections with mass retailers. In the past five or so years we've seen everyone from Lagerfeld and H&M to Rodarte and Target combining their recognizable names to make fashion that most women can actually afford.

This is something that I, of course, strongly approve of. While you'll never be able to expect the same exact quality from a $19.99 shirt that you can from a $199.99, its still so great to be able to have access to the look of a designer who's aesthetic you admire.

A few of my favorites available online right now...

RACHEL Rachel Roy Dress available at Macys.com - I adore the length and cut of this dress, its youthful and fun and the print is very cool..

A few pieces from Gaultier for Target, coming soon to Target.com- The piece I'm eyeing is the trench coat (far left). Its classic but feels fresh and on-trend for this spring and I love the stripes on the chest.

I *Heart* Ronson for JCPenney at JCPenney.com-Charlotte Ronson's diffusion line is, in my opinion, one of the best out there. The clothes are feminine and flattering (check out the dress with the amazing peacock feather print) while throwing in some serious edge (faux leather pencil skirt) and the prices are true steals. I encourage you to head over to the website, there is a little pink romper that is just dying to be worn to spring's first outdoor party!
